Zentangl and Dudling. Phased drawing
You will need paper, a simple pencil and an eraser, capillary pens of different colors, well, and ... the desire to draw, of course.
There is no special concept in my drawings. I start to draw abstract lines, shapes, and then in the process of drawing a general picture emerges.
This drawing technique is known as Zentangle & Doodling / Zentangl and Dudling.
Zentangl (eng. Zentangle) is a new, developing art form that combines creativity, meditation and pleasure. Practically everyone can enjoy drawing intricate ornaments with the help of an easy-to-learn zentangl method. You do not need to be an artist or acquire expensive materials and equipment, all you need is paper, pen (liner) and a pencil. Zentangl allows you to relax and reduce stress, at the same time you will create something beautiful.
Doodle (in the translation of "scrawl") is a focused drawing made while the attention of a person is occupied by something else.Doodles are simple drawings that may have specific representative values or may simply be an abstract form.
Zendoodling is a hybrid of art blended in Zentangle style with Doodling. Zendoodles are often of arbitrary shape and have an abstract appearance, sometimes interspersed with color.
So that's all confusing.
Here are some drawing patterns that you can apply in your drawings in various shapes and interpretations, while creating your own unique drawing:
And now - my processes! I started drawing this picture from the bottom left corner:
Then I wanted circles. It is easier to use the compass in this situation. But, since I didn’t have it, I just draped over various containers with different diameters. A ruler and a pencil divided the circles into sections, so it is easier to fill them with patterns.
When a pencil outlined all the boundaries, you can begin to fill the sections of the circle with different patterns. Start from the center.
I continue to fill sections with different patterns.
What patterns to fill in the following sections of the question does not even arise, you just start, the pen itself will draw, as this is a very exciting process!
We are nearing completion, we fill the last sections of the circle with patterns.
When work is finished, gently erase the pencil lines with an eraser to make the work look neat. Done!
The text in the pictures, of course, does not necessarily enter, but I thought something like a book with interesting thoughts in pictures. Here are some more pages from it (and the drawing process):
In this work, start from the top corner. Abstract shapes are drawn and filled with dots, lines, etc. all the same capillary handles.
Next, we outline the contours and also fill them with various patterns.
Complement the picture with color accents.
This drawing with a Japanese bias is drawn by thinner gel pens.
Started with a sketch:
Further, all the figures are again filled with various patterns.
And again - capillary handles. Houses.
We act on the aforementioned principle, first - the figures and the general plan, then - the filling of the figures with abstract patterns.
Here a green capillary pen and a black gel pen are involved. The principle is the same, shapes and patterned filling.
I wanted flowers 🙂
From all angles I drew fancy flowers, which seem to be striving in the middle, and filled them with various patterns using multi-colored pens.
