It is, of course, a lemonade, a drink that has been around for a long time and has become firmly established in people's everyday life, and its subtle notes, in due time, have pleased the kings and other high-ranking persons.
By the way, I would like to note that it was exactly lemonade that became the first beverage that began to be produced on an industrial scale.
Initially, lemonade was prepared from three basic and straightforward ingredients - lemon juice, water and sugar. A similar recipe had a drink that in the 17th century increasingly appeared on the feasts of French kings and nobles. The name "limonade" comes from the phrase "lemon added", which literally translates as "lemon added."
Around the same time, a similar drink appeared in Italy, where lemons grew significantly more than in France, and it was called "limonata".However, the last name did not stick in Europe, so it is considered that France is the birthplace of lemonade.
At the beginning of the 20th century, with the invention of sparkling water and the study of the technology of bottling, lemonade began to be produced in the form of glass bottles familiar to us, and the taste and composition of the drink were widely diversified and enriched. In our time, lemonade is called any sweet carbonated water, which includes water and lemon juice, and this is, in fact, absolutely correct.
On the shelves of shops and supermarkets you can find a large variety of different packaging and bottles, which offer the buyer the most diverse and, sometimes, unexpected flavors of this soft drink.
Everything seems to be good, but only the composition, for sure, will not please you, development and progress affected not only the outer shell, but also the composition of lemonade ingredients, where, like in most other beverages, there was no chemistry.
It is not a secret for anyone that such a composition is of little use, both for an adult and for a child, what to do, you don’t want to refuse such a pleasant soft drink? The answer is simple -learn to cook homemade lemonade, which in its taste is not inferior to the purchased product, and, according to the majority, is even ten times higher!
After reading a few recipes, you will understand that there is nothing complicated in this, besides, the composition of the ingredients and components of taste can be changed at your discretion and desire, which allows you to create new and incredibly interesting variations of lemonade.
Recipe for classic lemonade
Before starting experiments to create a new and unique taste, it is advisable to learn how to cook a conventional, classic lemonade, the recipe of which has not changed much since its appearance. So, to prepare a delicious lemonade at home, you will need:
- lemons - 12 pieces;
- water - 6 glasses;
- sugar - 0.5 cup;
- 1 lemon into slices.
First you have to squeeze out the juice of all 12 lemons. It’s absolutely uncomplicated if you have a juicer in your home, which in a matter of minutes will turn your lemons into fragrant fresh juice. If there is no such device available, it’s not scary to squeeze out the juice manually. To do this, you need to wash the lemons, and then, pressing on, roll around the table.
In this way, it will be possible to squeeze out more juice without disrupting the structure of the fibers. We cut the lemons into halves and manually squeeze out all the liquid, in the end you should get about 1.5 glasses of pure lemon juice.
Then mix lemon juice with sugar and gradually pour in water until sugar is completely dissolved. The final stage is to add the remaining water, throw the sliced lemon and cool the resulting drink with ice cubes. There are also more complex versions of recipes, which presuppose pre-infusion of lemon zest on alcohol, and add saffron and turmeric to the same to achieve a more juicy color and flavor.
Recipe for lemonade with grapefruit, cucumber and lemon
Yes, yes, do not be surprised, because we said that the recipes of this drink are extremely original and surprising, in addition to the usual "lemonade" lemons and oranges, the most unpredictable components can be used. In lemonade, you can add ginger, mint, blueberry, basil, strawberries, and many more, most importantly, all these ingredients are properly combined. In the specific case we need:
- grapefruit - 1 pc .;
- cucumbers (small) - 2 pcs .;
- lemon - 1 pc .;
- mineral drinking water - 100 ml;
- sprig of mint and tarhuna;
Pre-peel the lemons and grapefruit peel, and all prepared citrus fruits and cucumbers skip through the juicer. In glasses it is necessary to lay out several ice cubes, a couple of leaves of mint and tarragon. In a separate container, mix the mineral water and the prepared juice, then pour it into prepared glasses.
Ginger Lemonade Recipe
You will need:
- Lemons - 3 pcs .;
- fresh ginger root - 7 cm;
- water - 2 l;
- honey - 0.5 cups.
Ginger lemonade is not only very tasty, but also an incredibly healthy drink that combines a large range of vitamins and nutrients of lemon and ginger root. First you need to clean the ginger and grate it. At this time, put the water on the stove and bring it to a boil.
You already know how easy it is to squeeze the juice from lemons, so you can easily cope with this process. Now you can shift grated ginger into boiling water, add freshly squeezed juice, and boil it over low heat for about 10 minutes. After the time has elapsed, turn off the water, add honey to it and mix thoroughly. The drink is served chilled with ice cubes.
Chocolate Mint Lemonade Recipe
To prepare you will need:
- sugar - 0.5 cup;
- a large bunch of chocolate mint;
- water - 1 cup;
- lemon - 2 pcs.
First you need to prepare a zest for two lemons. Then we put sugar, water and zest into one common saucepan, put it on the fire and bring it to a boil, then lightly remove the fire and boil the drink for a few more minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then remove the pan from the heat, add mint to it and cover everything with a lid on top, let the drink stand for an hour, after which the mint can be squeezed and the liquid filtered.
Thus, it turned out a kind of syrup, from which you can already make lemonade. To do this, you will need a few more ingredients of this proportion: 1 part water to 1 part syrup to 1 part ice and about 5 parts lemon juice.
In fact, the proportions can be changed, because someone likes sweet drinks more, and someone more sour and refreshing. All parts are mixed together and sent to the refrigerator until it is completely cooled.
