no poo shampoo fries

“The“ No Poo ”method is winning more and more followers every day in washing hair without shampoo with water only, thereby preventing scalp damage from chemicals.

The movement was born in the United States on the initiative of the hairdresser Lorraine Massey, the author of the book "Curly Girl" (free translation from English)."No poo" is a pun from the words "shampoo" (shampoo) and "poo" (feces). This expression means reducing the use of shampoos or sharing products with fewer ingredients that are harmful to the hair. "(Prichesok.net)

There are already many recipes on foreign websites covering this topic, I thought that my list of homemade homemade shampoos would not be complete without this simplest way to get clean and healthy hair.

Composition:

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Apple vinegar
  • 120 ml. water

Put 1 teaspoon of soda in a cup or mug to take with you in the shower or in the bathroom.

Pour about 30 ml of apple cider vinegar into another cup.

When you wash your hair, add about ¼ cup of water to the soda. The resulting mass is applied to the roots of the hair and leave it for a minute.

Then, gently rub the scalp, stimulating the blood flow to the roots and cleansing the pores. This should stimulate hair growth.

Rinse out!

Add ¼ cup of water to the vinegar cup and apply the solution to the ends of the hair. Leave it for a minute, and then carefully wash everything away.

At first, when washing hair using this method, "No Poo" (or Shampoo Free) has a transition period of two weeks to two months, depending on the person. Here are some tips:

- If your hair becomes frizzy, try using less soda or keep it for a shorter period of time. Adding a small amount of honey can help.

- If the hair becomes greasy, try using less apple cider vinegar, replace it with lemon or lime juice, get rid of honey and / or combine the wash with combing. Also, be sure to use vinegar only for the ends of your hair.

- If the skin itches, try the following essential oils: Tea tree, Lavender, Rosemary. If the hair becomes dry, try applying a little oil (I use olive) on the lower part of the hair.
